The film is directed by Jim Mickle and the writers of the screenplay are Gregory Weidman and Geoffrey Tock. The movie stars Boyd Holbrook, Cleopatra Coleman, and Bokeem Woodbine. The storyline follows a Philadelphia police officer who struggles with a lifelong obsession to track down a mysterious serial killer whose crimes defy explanation.

It’s refreshing to find a mid-range budgeted thriller. The film is a stouthearted attempt at high concept storytelling, and for the better part of the running time, it works. There are some strong imperfections, but if you can go with the film, you’ll enjoy the twists and turns. The screenplay, the plot, and the combination of Sci-Fi and mystery were mind blowing and refreshing. I’d say this is the first time I enjoyed the blend of the two genres because of the smooth integration of the two subjects.
