Lauren Alaina on ‘The Hardest Decision’ She’s Ever Had To Make

Lauren Alaina came onto the scene during season 10 of American Idol. Since then, she has gone on to record two albums and toured with several different country music artists. She has had a lot of success and is getting ready to headline her first tour! She is supporting up and coming artist, Filmore, who will be her opening act with his single, “Slower”.

She was set to go on her headlining tour, That Girl Was Me Tour, this fall from September 14th to October 25th. However, she also received an invitation to be on Dancing with the Stars, which would start in the middle of her tour. According to her Instagram, “This was THE hardest decision ever, but my team and I have decided to postpone the #ThatGirlWasMeTour to do Dancing With The Stars. After talking to a few of my friends who have been on the show, I realized I couldn’t give the show and the tour 100%. I always want to deliver the best performances I can, so we have moved the tour to early next year. Dancing with the Stars is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I am so excited about. I can’t wait to hang out in your living rooms every Monday and celebrate how far we get on my first headlining tour in January. @filmoremusic will still be on all of the dates, and we are adding a few more 😉 We are offering refunds to everyone who has bought tickets, or you can transfer your tickets to the new dates. I am SO sorry for any inconvenience this causes to those of you who may not be able to make the new dates. I hope I can make it up to you somehow. I’m so thankful for your support in this crazy journey we are on. I love y’all so much!

Ps: This decision will be very embarrassing if I get out the first week, so please vote for me. Lol.”

Alaina explained to iHeartRadio’s The Bull, “Bobby Bones talked me into it,”  adding jokingly that if she is eliminated during the first week, she is holding Bones accountable. “I’m never talking to him again, that will be the end of our friendship.”

Alaina thinks she might be the “worst dancer” but she was previously a competitive cheerleader. Her dancing partner hasn’t been revealed yet, and you won’t be able to find out until the season premiere September 16th at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.

The new tour dates are as followed, with more dates being added.
